Good start, but everything is too large and messy. When making website layouts try to stay away from layer styles and filters as much as possible. When I get back from school I will see if I can get some of my friends work to show you what you should be aiming for. Good luck and dont give up :)

BWMasters work is far from great. All he does is use effects from tutorials he finds. None of it is original.
