I see. Do you see the 'Borealis' as the device itself? like some sort of Delorean time machine? because it seems pretty small to hold something as large-scale as local inter-dimensional teleportation, what is the usual measurements of a icebreaker?
I agree. And what about a side story where you play as Gina Cross and Colette Green?
Ooh... i like that idea. I was going to say separate expansions as Adrian or barney but combining them sounds even more epic!
That's an interesting idea - what about at the end of Half-life 3 credits, an...
What do you want in Half-life 3?
I personally want a more graphically enhanced Alyx, new game mechanics, a return to the 'creepy' Half-life atmosphere, the Gluon Gun, Barney, go to Xen and Combine Overworld, dynamic lighting, liquid physics, 1970 Portal Gun, Easter eggs referencing Portal 2...
I agree. The Universe of Portal 2 is WAY more crazier and chaotic than Portal, i always had this 'idea' that Gordon and Alyx seal 'Chell' away from the (CORE) Universe and place her in the 'Portal 2 verse' where she's safe.
I meant the 'thingies' that move when you look at an object, same thing happens in Portal.
And just because the ASHPD and ZPEFM function different, doesn't mean that the same design wasn't used.
It's very likely that Half-life 3 will have an isolated co-operative experience as Portal 2 did but multiplayer only?
fat chance! otherwise Half-life will lose what made it special.
Well, intra-dimensional Portal Technology is something the Combine desperately need, if the Resistance gets hold of it, we could effectively turn the tables and use it against the Combine, but if the Combine gets hold of it, there will be Unforeseen Consequences...
Perhaps. But the relationship between BM and AS has a very big connection, i bet the Gravity Gun was made by BM using AS technology, hence the similar design aspects.
Maybe we'll see Old Aperture tech on the Borealis in Half-life 3?
When do the events of Portal 2 take place within the current Half-life story arc? it's assumed and was supposedly confirmed that it takes place centuries after the Half-life 2 episodes, some think it takes place around EP2, but since it's a very popular belief that Portal took place during the...
Oh, really? well, that does make sense, Gman in Hl1 gave me a feeling that he was some sort of Government agent, yet Gman in Hl2 was presented as an Alien taking the form of a business man, i can understand that. :)
I remember seeing Gman conversing with a Scientist in Half-life 1, apparently you can hear their dialogue but it's been altered till the point of being inaudible, but i heard these lines...
Scientist "I have already told you 100 times that i am opposed to tampering with equipment over normal...
Technically, they have been known to be able to 'bend' Alyx and Gordon's perception of reality in the form of pulsing noises, headaches, color change and vision distortion. As they mature they could develop mind control.
This is true, but it's very likely that Laidlaw's 'fanfiction' will be...
Ah... my favorite memories of Half-life would have to be whacking vortigaunts and headcrabs through the corridors of Black Mesa, jumping from platform to platform on Xen as vorts zap you from below, trying to run like hell from the portals created by Nihlanth but admitting defeat as you find...
