Sorry, no idea. I can't model. well, the guy in wall.mpg suggested we go ahead and download XSI to start modding for HL2, but I don't have a clue where to start... I'm guessing you'd have to start completely from scratch? I don't see any models/maps to have a baseline

apart from older gfx cards, even some gf4's dont support shader technology you mean the mx line ? stay away from those

how difficult is XSI to use as far as Source is concerned? I've tried it for a few days (free version) and somehow find 3dsmax a lot easier, lol... I may just have to get the hang of it, seeing as there's a ton of presets I'm not used to... also, how far can XSI go with modability?

for anyone interested in the game Stalker, read roadside picnic... going to upload the book now (it's free online version), gimme a min edit: I'm surprised no one mentioned XIII yet. because cel-shading is just a gimmick and poor excuse to hide shitty art :P

indeed they should release SP first... what do you think HL2 is all about? story of course... even if MP and mods are what keeps it alive, I say the sdk along with SP
