What I don't understand in this game is what's up with the weird aquatic creatures.
Like those barnacle/crustacean type things that shoot poison darts. Are they supposed to be mutants or something?
My favorite line is: "This is ridiculous! Stupid rats! Stupid plague!"
But seriously they should have recorded more lines for the guards. The lines repeat way too often.
The story isn't about secret organisations like in Deus Ex it's more about the struggle for political power, betrayal and revenge.
I've finished the game and I can say that there aren't that many decent/good people in this game. There are the handful of friends in the resistance that stay...
Disclaimer: I am further into the game than the rest of you, read the spoilers at you own risk.
I did that sidequest too, and though afterwards, "oh shit what did I do?".
Also Krynn regarding your suspicions on the allies.
Laugh all you want, but adjustable FOV is a serious problem in most FPS in recent years.
Also 85 maximum FOV in the options menu is not enough. In Borderlands 2 I have it set at 110 and it's great.
In terms of game projects, no. However on the graphics and game development department they are pretty much dominating the game industry right now with UE4 and the UDK.
I'm with him.
I don't get the hate.
In my opinion the only person in the game industry that does truly deserve all the vitriol they have received is Bobby Kotick
With proposed laws like ACTA, that relied on the excuse of cracking down on pirates, being shot down, what's a government to do? Why, rely on the ever popular "protection from terrorism" excuse of course! Oh, and cracking down on CP...
To each their own. I can honestly say that I don't like what they've done with the show in the last season, and from the promo trailer it looks like next season will be pretty much more of the same.
It's not reassuring at all. It's like someone coming along and saying "see the story was crap all along you just didn't realise it yet".
I always thought that there was a change in the writers, that would explain why the observers suddenly did a 180 in character.
If it was planned all along...
How about no, to all of the above.
Why should software get special treatment? For example if you buy a car use it for a few years then want to resell it, the car manufacturer and the distributor do not benefit from it at all.
That's why I only own a handful of games on Steam.
Now I'm really confused... I always thought the advisors were basically the leadership class of the Combine, not a different faction and the G-Man's mysterious employers.
The interdimensional corporate warfare idea does make sense though, and fits with what little we know so far.
That's the biggest problem I have with steam. You have a whole bunch of games tied to your Steam account that would become unusable should Steam go under.
