We've been hearing November for months, this isn't really anything new.

Well new graphics cards are released in both Fall and Spring (6 month cycles). Whether Nvidia has taken the steps to fix their card's problems for this fall remain to be seen.

What has me a bit upset is that the tour goes all the way to October 30th... Meaning that HL2 probably won't be released in the month of October (why go on a tour showing it off when it's already released?), so I think November is probably when the game will come out.

I've heard they're only a little better then current cards, and they'll definitely bring down the price of the current generation of graphics cards.

HL2 is just a mod using the Source engine. Many more mods will be made on Source.

I dunno, Valve has never kept a release date (Steam got delayed like 3 days, and now HL2 is delayed indefinitely), so I have a hard time believing the benchmark will be out tomorrow. It'd be a nice surprise, but for now I'm just going to assume it's not gonna happen.

Regardless... Today is still the 29th. I wouldn't expect the benchmark for at least another 24 hours.
