I think it's getting gradually more even in it's quality and slowly becoming better, but I'll have to see if it sustains that pattern.
Also, I really doubt that getting that guy out of prison was really the entire point, more likely just a convenient test.
Strictly speaking as someone who has spent a good chunk of my life hanging out with people who smoke marijuana, although not a user myself, I have to point out how correct this is. The scale of the marijuana trade is amazing, and it's not very difficult to obtain it anywhere in the entire...
Yeah, some of it's probably supposed to be quotations in the language of the Old Ones, while the germanic or latin ones may be "quotes" from the Book of Eibon.
But, as a hardcore Lovecraft nerd, I can say that the whole "Zalgo" thing isn't from Lovecraft's original Cthulhu Mythos.
I think it's more that they people who care about this sort of stuff have written off that period of time from a moral standpoint. McCarthyism may have died down, but the insanity of something like the Bay of Pigs already proved that some of the people running the show were pretty bonkers.
I'm kinda suspicious that this might have been in a cabinet somewhere filed between a plan to use guinea pigs as mobile landmines and a plan to take down Castro with a rocket powered jet-ski.
This is probably the dumbest thing ever to have an argument over, but I'll point out that the definition of B movie has changed A LOT over time. It used to just be the bottom movie on a double feature, but it's since picked up a bunch of different connotations. Some entire genres picked up the...
Kind of what I was asking in my first post. Some people say "B movie" and mean something MST3K-level, but others say "B-movie" and mean movies that are a little below mainstream and that are just generally silly, dorky, stupid, or even just odd.
There's this weird and muddled hierarchy to...
Hell, I think Bay is an artist compared to Emmerich. Bay just aims really low in what he shoots for with his movies, whereas Emmerich is just trying to do the same sort of stuff and comes off as being inept.
Just how B?
Because you could go all the way and I'd suggest going through Roland Emmerich's catalog (ID4, Day After Tomorrow, 10,000BC) or if you're just looking for movies with B sensibilities I'd suggest Sky Captain, Hellboy, Sahara, and Hot Fuzz.
Yeah, but then there's plenty of people like me that think that statement is bizarre and insane, having played the final product. :D
I would never argue that they aren't similar, but I think they've made huge progress in how they construct the game world and structure quests.
Yeah, if I could keep going after finishing the game I'd want to see the consequences of my actions at the end of the game. Otherwise it would probably just undermine it for me.
