Gerstmann reinforces the "basement no-life" gamer stereotype with that shirt of his. Christ man, can't you afford a black collared shirt to make you look slimmer? Which is a shame, because (unless he doesn't write his own reviews) he has a nice voice and a witty script.
Not as shit as Activision anyway.
I gave it a bit of thought when I went for a walk and I think we can blame the success of Call of Duty and similiar "immersive" games for the abandonment of rich, complex gameplay with real challenge in favour of linear rail shooters touted as "cinematic"...
I'll break it down for you. The Elder Scrolls is basically a landmark series in the RPG market with the same point-of-view and basic gameplay ever since TES1: Arena in 1994. It's a series of first person perspective RPG/adventure games. The series' high point was Daggerfall, which allowed for...
I'd start with Wikipedia, they have a nice bibliography for the most part:

Check the articles on individual British Army servicemen for references to biographical or autobiographical books...
Game is lovely (then again, I'm still in the leak area). I'm surprised to see a few "they don't tell you the hostages will die if you tarry" votes here: Sarif asks you to get to the helipad and that lives are at stake, how more obvious can that get?
Time for a small series of my screenshots. from Metalheart and Azrael' Tear. MH is a Russian cRPG with an interesting setting, but absolutely abysmal English translation. It is truly horrible, as you can probably see on the screens. Azrael's Tear... Well, it speaks for itself.
Comanche series come to mind, as does the Delta Force series (until Land Warrior I believe). Blade Runner also used voxels, though only for character models - everything else was pre-rendered.
Azrael's Tear - 9/10
A much overlooked gem, Azrael's Tear is a wondrous adventure game with some great environments and characters. It's worth giving a try (even if its hard to get to run correctly). I owned it since 1997.
This is kind of interesting, as we had similiar rainfalls all over here the past few days and it doesn't look like they're going to stop.
Should we start repenting?
