I need to buy myself a DVD burner. but it is just the .gcf files right?

I know that you can back up the gcf files, but they are so big. You wouldn't be able to burn them to disk. Is there any other way? (and am i right in saying that you only have to back up the gcf files?)

well it does say half-life 2*, but it dosnt specify weather or not it comes on a disk or not for this package.

If i order the gold version of half-life 2 off steam, will i receive the game on disk (like the normal version you would buy in the shops) in this special box, with all the special items? Thanks for any info =)

When Half-Life 2 becomes avalible through steam to preload, will anyone be able to download it, without 'buying' it through steam? Because im buying it at gameplay.co.uk and it would be great if i could preload the game, then when my copy arrives, i can just put in my CD key and play it strate...

The radeon 9800 pro lite version is the same as the other version, its just comes with somthing difernet in the box. It isnt any less powerful. Its about £150.
