The tv show is inspired from the book, it's not meant to be anything like the movie. The atmosphere is similar to Bladerunner.
The main characters are a police officer/detective, and his synthetic partner. I still recommend giving it a chance.
It's OK if you like postapocalyptic survival...
It is entirely possible to "loose your touch". Example, Cameron. The Terminator, he did both writing and directing, and the result was gold. Avatar, he again did both writing and directing, and the result was in my opinion garbage.
I think the same is true with Ridley Scott.
And now for some 90's nostalgia:
X-Files
SeaQuest (it's basically Star Trek underwater)
Sliders (first 2 seasons are good then it quickly takes a nosedive)
The Outerlimits
Space Above and Beyound (atmosphere very similar to Starship troopers, except the aliens aren't giant bugs)
Earth 2
Total...
I strongly suggest you watch the rest of Babylon 5, it's easily one of the best sci-fi tv shows ever made in my opinion.
As for Sanctuary, I've watched a few episodes but the whole "safe place" for mutants/monsters thing doesn't appeal to me at all.
Also, if you haven't seen it already you...
And just like that my sympathy is gone. I've heard about people leaving their car or house unlocked, but I always thought it was just an urban myth...
And I agree with Taco, use the opportunity to "rob" the robber of as much money as possible.
If the whole sensor error thing is a lie, then what the hell could cause high radiation levels in that area? Is there a nuclear reactor there, or perhaps a nuclear weapons test site?
What puts the official explanation into question for me is the scrambling of military hardware as well as...
Personally I'm not willing to pay more than $30 for a game no matter how "triple A"/big budget/etc. it is. Paying something like 50 euros or more for a new game is ridiculous.
Finished it... and overall I am dissapointed with it.
Besides what I already said, what bothers me is the lack of charm, humor, surreal elements and great memorable characters.
Here it's just serious and depressing all the ****ing time. The atmosphere simply is not like the Max Payne I know...
No you're not. it's definitely challenging even on easy. I just had a ragequit after dying over a dozen times at the same spot. Granted it's near the end of the game, but holy shit.
The game can be fun, but it's almost like it's designed to piss you off and just generally make you feel...
Definitely this. I also hate the extensive amount of flashing and double vision effects. It really started to make me feel uncomfortable after a while.
