ummm, i think some explanation of this weapon is in order. The Sa80 is the production number of the L85 and L86 models both the A1 and the A2. Sa80 is not the name of the gun. And as I said the shroud i'm still tinkering with but the body of that wepon is spot on (not to toot my own horn)
syndicate was such a badass game. too bad syndicate wars flopped. i actually still play syndicate to this day. i have an old 233mhz machine solely to play that game (on newer machines everything moves so fast you can't tell what the hell is happening)
yeahthe scope mount i used is the one found n the maual for the l85a1. there is a much cooler mount for the A2. the handle i'm not incredibly worried about as of yet. though thanks for the idea for the shroud. I'm gonna have to remake it.
back on-topic. It's still specualtion but if DOD2 is going to be a stand alone. as is TF2 most likely. Then it stand to reason that CS2 would be a stand alone. They are all made by Valve.
actualy ro@ch that it probably one of the few times somone has been able to accuratley create a link between a video game Hero and the Bible's hero. Regardless of anyone feelings on religion; if taken on the the level you use them; everyone must agree that your analogy is correct. They are...
i didnt' reall play with Deep UV. but i loved Deep Paint. I'm probably just gonna buy UU. if anyone here is from the BF42.com forums you'll have to rememebr Lobo and he was all about that program so with Grey and Lobo giving it the thumbs up then it's definatley a worthwhil investment.
damn i feel old! Way back in 2000, now where did i put my walker? lousy alheizmers.
Yeah there are several cyberpunk mods though a lot of them should band together because there ideas are so similar that trying it would better for them to work to gether than try to compete for talen, and...
yeha i dl'ed the demo but haven't got it working yet. I'm thinking of going and getting Right Hemishperes Deep Paint and Deep UV. freaking awesome. but uber expensive
I redid the front shroud and i still hate it. Any C&C would be appreciated
it's now 1980 polygons. 1200 without the scope so i think i may need ot redo that too.
the handle s is definatley off. It's too flat (as i am often told of my own meshes) after redoing the trigger and barrel you should have an extra 200 or so poly's. try extruding the flat faces of the grip out very slightly and then uniform scale them down to it rounded shape.
a cpuple of places you can do some reduction is on the magazine the circular extrusion could be dropped to 8 sided they look 12 sided now. The tubes for the sight can be dropped to 8 sided and adjust the smoothing groups to round them out. it will be fine unless you mod plans to do iron...
no kidding. i am totaly screwed if 2000 includes the hands. so far i've kept my models under 2k but the amount of detail that would be sacraficed if i had ot include arms. Ohh man it scares the hell out me just thinking about it.
yeah technically U.S law permits using copyrighted material for parody work but you might have to go to court to secure that right. Disney has been known to sue artist with SLAPP (Straegic Lawsuit suits Against Public Participation) to stop them from paradying their work. You'll win the xcase...
the problem with a shadowrun mod is WotC LLC. is extremely gaureded of their intellectual proprty. they would shut this mod down as soon as they got wind of it. there are a lot of Cybepunk mods going right now maybe a few will survive and release. I'm sure there is going to be a lost of...
it's an easy car to model bad and a hard car to model good. In so much as it's really simple to create the curves using a crap load of polygons but to make the curves look correct using a minumal amount of polys is difficult. personally i think i have seen maybe 5 good 3d Viper models the rest...
as always the last thing i do is the bipod and by then i'm already thinking i'm done so i always botch that part. the problem is that the real bipod for the L96 is way to cylindrical and has so many parts it would be impossible to model accurately.
ohh sorry, yeah the bolt is a seperate object. I make the assemble by using a 8 sided cylinder for the barrel and then inset to make the hollow round chamber extrude it back to where the ejection port begins. then extrude again to where the port ends. then again to the end of the barrel. then...
