Well guys here it is! After 3 months of hard work tweaking and optimising and bug squashing I think I have a version of Depot which really represents what was my original vision of the map.
This version has been optimised up the yingyang and now performs much, much better, but I'd still say...
actually, you should find that if you have a prop_physics_respawnable if it is moved out of its area for a certain amount of time and is inactive (not picked up/touched etc) it should repawn back to it's original loation anyway
I created the effect of dripping wter using env_embers and in the direction (or where you see an option of "point at") I told it to point at the ground. Set the speed pretty high and density at whatever you want and away you go.
Oh ths is a brush based entity btw.
Like cremator said, unlike the bigger sellers of this year, HL2 will continue to make money for the next 5-6 years thanks to CS, DOD:S and hopefully TF2; as well as the continued support for mods and expansion pack (hopefully free for the most part).
Also dont forget that Valve will now make...
im sure this could be a great mod but they really aint selling well with those awful screens. They really should post somethig that represents the mod as a whole - Is this a game about killer windows books and eyeballs?
Well this next release will be the final RC and then the final will be probably released about a month after, so i'd really appriciate your help finding any bugs for this next release so the final is really well polished!
The feedback I got last time was great! so many things I missed...
Not long now until release! Just trying to get in as much optimisation as possible now. Running Full Vis and hoping to squeeze out a few more FPS that way.
Thanks
I just picked up a PC GAmer this afternoon and saw I got a lil box article for Depot - which was nice :)
Anyway just an update to anyone who experienced problems viewing any of the images this afternoon (GMT) It should be all up and working now!
thanks
Thanks for the suggestion - it will be noted and added ;)
good feedack, if anyone else remembers any other annoyances like this from RC1 let me know here!
