Not checked in Couterstrike, but works fine with HL2DM. Although it logs the last PC out, making u re-log in. If both players know the password it's no problem tho :naughty:
The human eye cannot distinguish between 30fps and 300fps - anything above about 24/25 just looks seamless.
You can't know that, for all you know it handles it just - and no more.
However, the hardware specs suggest that it will easily handle it and much, much more.
Quarter 2 onwards...
Well, as I mentioned before, PD:Z was one of the games to catch my eye. Is it enough to merit buying the console? Not to me.
To be honest, it is inevitable that I will get the 360 at some point next year, but at the moment I probably wouldnt play it if it was sitting in my house right now...
Good point, but I wasnt suggesting that the XBox 360 is not going to be successful - in fact I think it will be the most successful out of the 3 next-gen consoles :dozey:
I was merely questioning the massive hype and interest around the launch, where it seems there is nothing revolutionary...
Yeah, my ATI Radeon really makes the 3D cell effects in MS Access come alive. Wouldnt be the same without it.
Seriously though, PC's were originally developed as working tools - but evolved passed that nearly 2 decades ago.
I think console's would be ideal FPS platforms, if they opened it...
I am deadly serious, yes.
The only game which has caught my eye is Perfect Dark : Zero. It looks like it would be an enjoyable game, but it also doesnt look next-generation. It could quite easily run on a top-end PC.
Launch titles are supposed to make you want to buy the console, just to...
The most addicting games I've played are Worms, Sensible Soccer, Sonic The Hedgehog series, Red Alert and HL2DM. Never have I played any of them straight for more than about 10 hours
I believe the PrintScreen works in Duke3D, going on memory. Or it may have been a Function key, can't remember, but it is not 3D accelerated so it is fairly easy
Not really it wouldnt. I thought it was plainly obvious why it is called Half Life - as thescotster19 has explained - because the main character is a scientist and the whole game revolves around scientific events
Who cares?
There are no outstanding games for release on the 360 in the immediate future, hell not even anything to rival HL2 (which should have been a 360 release - multiplayer and all)
What's all the fuss about!?
If your character talked in a FPS, it would not be FP (First Person), as someone else is speaking - not you. Therefore, you do not feel like you are the main character. That's how I feel anyway, although the cutscenes (where it switches to a 3rd person viewpoint) may be a bit different.
Sarcasm, love it.
The game starts after the experiment goes Pete Tong, there is no need to skip anything thereafter, and more to the point - you won't want to ;)
