Making custom grass for your terrain
First grab a copy of "detail.vbsp" from "/steamapps/yourprofile/half-life2/hl2"
drop it in your mods main folder.
Next grab a copy of "detailspites.vmf" and "detailsprites.vmt" from the materials.gcf
drop them in your mods "/materials/detail" folder...

Project Fighter is an HL2 3rd person fighting mod.
Heres some ingame footage of some of the environments project fighter has to offer.
I know alot of them look somewhat empty, but thats beacuse I havent learned to model yet.

hi there, just wanted to let you know about a very interesting new mod called Project Fighter
its a multiplayer hand to hand fighting game with full character creation and customization.
as you win battles your character stats are saved and you gain points in order to customize your fighter...
anyone have info, or a good tutorial on how to edit the menu and add custom backgrounds?
i asume that thier just tga or vtf files, but what do i need to do ?

when i use the light environment it gives me unrealistic shadows.
for example i have bright green grass on the floor texture but when the light bounces off it it creates dark green shadows on the walls.
how can i fix this?

Half Life 2 was a decent game but you take it too far.

why didnt they add at least one zen level?
with the new engine they could have made some amazing zen worlds.
also the ending of the game was a total let down... didnt explain anything didnt have any resolution, and there wasnt even a last boss!

you must have a copy of all your textures in the counterstrike source/cstrike/materials folder for them to work in cs. "duh" :D
