Well, it is now released and at 5.01pm I started steam, and it subsequently crashed! lol The game is now available according to the store, but it still says unavailable in my list of games. EDIT: Just crashed 3 times in a row, something about x-trees :(

Good luck. I just phoned my local Tesco (large store, does games, 24 hours) and when I made it clear than the game is released tomorrow I was told that the person who deals with games wouldn't be in until 7am, and they wouldn't be able to tell me if they had the title until then.

We also pay more here in the UK. It retails for $49.95 for US steam users, and costs us $54.99 here in the UK. :(

How are steam enforcing this 24th date? Is it to do with where the account is registered? If I was in the states tonight although I am registered in the UK would I be able to run the game, and what about the reverse situation? (Not that I think there is any way around this, I'm gonna have to...
