I fixed it now. :)
I did various things but I think ctrl + alt + delete and then shutting down Steam from the processes list and then restarting it by clicking on the desktop icon fixed it.
Very odd. :|
Bizarre.
30 minutes ago I was playing Ep2. I stopped playing and left the machine on the Steam games list.
So I come back 5 minutes ago... and all the Orange Box games are gone from the list.
Also, various games which have long since been downloaded like Defcon and Ep1 now have...
Once again, I am having to change the launch options due to Valve setting the games to run in resolutions and frequencies my monitor doesn't have or like. I enter this into the properties' launch options for TF2 and it worked so I mention this here in case it helps someone.
-w 1024 -h 768...
Try the "-h 1280 -w 1024" or whatever without the "-window". It seems for me that I had actually fixed a lot of the problem by changing the resolution and frequency but the window bit added a new problem.
I also updated my graphics card drivers.
It seems to be working perfectly now for...
I couldn't even see the game at first. It was set to run in some resolution and/or frequency my monitor is not capable of. I fixed this by right-clicking on Team Fortress 2 in the games list, selecting "properties" and then "launch options" and entering:
-w 1024 -h 768 -freq 85

Pretty much all apps, games and music are legit. If it's available in the shops at a fair price, I buy it. :)

The hardest game level I played but was able to complete and still enjoy was maybe Halo on the Xbox on Legendary when mid-way through the game you start in some sort of alien landing bay with doors that waves and waves of aliens come through. It was actually only the start of the level, the rest...
Lucky with that warranty, dude.
New consoles have a quieter DVD drive, I've read. Hope you get one of those.
I read about a 3% failure rate for the Xbox 360 but I've got to wonder if that is an average and the earlier consoles had a much higher failure rate than that. It sure...
I'm not enthusiastic about any form on in-game advertizing. I am enthustiastic about people hacking and altering in-games ads, though, as there could be some funny stuff in that.
Most common Counterstrike player language would be English but how many Counterstrike maps are set in...
Thanks for the interesting diagram, ZoFrex. :D
That implies doubling the number of people but splitting them into two teams to work on two projects at the same time would be the best way to work instead of doubling the number of people working on one project.
As a Valve related example...
Only believe anything Sony or anyone directly associated with them tells you when you see a PS3 plugged into a TV actually doing it.
Meanwhile, we can trust Valve on most things except release dates. :p
I played the demo of FSX and it seems like FS2004 with better graphics and more detail. It made my PC struggle and not even Battlefield 2 does that to the same extent.
I've been playing a lot more X-Plane recently than FS2004. The demo of X-Plane doesn't do the full game justice, particularly...
