..... Half-life isn't a word that Valve came up with. It can be used by anyone and anything. If the film hasn't nothing to do with the game or the scientific definition of Half-life, then fair enough. Just easy on the over-the-top flamboyant fanboyism.

Episode One took long due to the transition of coding from Half-life 2 to Episode One, but personally I don't think that is enough, But I do know coding is a hell of alot of work. as it was said, I'm not making judgements on the episodic progress till after Episode Three ships.
