Of all the great moments in the game, I think one of my favorites is the opening -- the movement tutorial. "Look up -- look down -- okay, that's enough exercise." "Look at the art -- you have now appreciated the art. Go back to bed." I know I'm paraphrasing, but it cracked me up.
I never played any of the old NFS games, but I did play Burnout 3, and I loved it. It's what got me into racing games. It was my favorite, until I picked up the 2010 version of NFS:Hot Pursuit. That game is so fun, and the single-player Hot Pursuit events really get my heart going, when I'm a...
On my server I kept the Mario sounds, but didn't have Quake sounds enabled. Also, for my end music, I added a whole bunch, and the plugin chose randomly. I had a bunch of goofy stuff in there:
Lazytown's Pirate song
Lazytown's Cake song
"Barbie Girl" in German
A pop version of the Soviet...
I always preferred to play GunGame in reverse order; that way it doesn't reward the player who gets an early lead, and instead rewards the player who is consistently more skilled, even as their weapon gets worse. I hope they add that mode as a possibility.
I know Metascore isn't everything, but OPF: DR got a 76/100.
Rogue Warror has a 29/100:

But not on the Steam Community site, apparently.
When I tried to log in to the Steam Community site under Gabe's credentials, it gave me a message that I wasn't running Intel's IPT, so I couldn't log in. However, I was able to successfully log in as megabajt. I decided not to see if I could...
To me, it seems like the time it takes to get the e-mail authentication is a pittance compared to the time it'll take to download any game you want to show off, unless it's VVVVVV or Defcon.
From the main page news story:
Valve hasn't announced how Intel's "Identity Theft Protection" fits in to this (to my knowledge); they've merely announced that it will be used in later versions. In its current state Steam Guard makes it so that any new machine you log in from must be verified...
This is possibly old news (and forgive me if everyone already knows this), but I saw something today going through the Meet the Demoman video.
Everyone complained when the video came out that the Demoman was nerfed like 2 days prior, and that the video didn't represent stuff the Demo can...
Pretty sure they've said that the "Payload" maps are the replacement for Hunted, as it doesn't rely on a single player for the attacking team to win. I think the bobblehead was simply a nod to the citizen character.
With the "I think his mate saw me" part, I liked the camera movement -- ie...
After playing it for a bit, my only real complaint with the beta is the crouch speed. You're practically not moving at all! I think a prone, zoomed sniper could strafe faster than that before the update!
Other than that, I'm fine with it. I'm kind of an achievement whore, and I think it...
You know, some people actually enjoy playing medic, and play the class on a regular basis... ;)
In this case, someone would just rather earn the achievements by playing Medic like they normally do.
