They have openly said that GITS was a direct influence, if they were not trying to recreate the atmosphere directly.
Personally, on the mod itself, it just looks really unpolished. I think it all comes down to the character animations too. I think that's what's ruining it for me...
This fellow sums it up quite nicely.
Also the walking animations look kind of clunky.
Regaurdless of whether the game is good or not, I'm definitely going to be downloading this, if only for the music.
Gimmicky? This is a well thought out game, judging by the trailer. It's a linear, platformer kind of thing. Sounds a bit like Portal...
That said, I find the waterdrop a bit dumb. Why not something like a roly poly? Besides, a roly poly is infinitely more likable than a waterdrop.
If it's anything like Legend, it should be pretty damn good. And it is the sequel to Legend, so i think it should be pretty much more of the same. The demo sure seemed like it.
Movie? Hey now, lets call it what it is: trailer/ad or what have you.
I'm not a fan of the guns akimbo thing, but I then again this is a zombie apocalypse, so its bound to be a little rediculous. If this is what we can expect ingame then, graphics wise, the Source engine looks pretty damn good.
This makes me think, are there different player (hand) models from the first person perspective? I would hope there appropriate models for the woman and the black fellow.
It's people like you who make IRL games intolerable. A group of people get together to toss a ball around, but then there's always a few who insist on taking it way too seriously.
Being of the male race we know that great looks can easily turn heads

Seriously? No one noticed this yet? What halfwit wrote this?
