persoanlly spit, i dont think valve can really do anything if the hacker is over in Denmark. I hate to say it but, valve cant do shit, unless a miracle happens
heh im on a dialup connection at work, so the past like 3 messages werent even posted on my machine heh, i disconnected twice so, ya, my ip changes heh. BTW, there r so many ppl that have the beta right now, sending ppl IPs off to valve is ****ing wrong in my opinion, and it doesnt do any good...
i agree with your statement qckbeam, alienating potential customers is not the best idea, if they implement something that scans your registry to see if u have the hl 2 beta, it would be easily defeated anyhow
The problem with warez in my opinion is that ppl who download warez of a game and never actually decide to go buy it. Like in my situation, i only wanted the beta to benchmark my system just to see how it ran, after about 30 mins of going throguh bout 2 or 3 levels, i deleted it. I fully intend...
i deleted it bout 30 mins after i d/led it because 1 i wanted to see how it ran, and 2 it was the right thing to do, all i wanted it for was to benchmark my system performance
i agree spitcodfry valve wouldnt do that to their fans as only that would tarnish their image, they probably realize thats THOUSANDS OF PPL HAVE it. It would be a waste of resources and time. Anyhow, i didnt want to play it much, i just wanted to see how it runs on my computer, it doesnt run to...
it finally got to me :( but i deleted bout 30 mins after i got it, just wanted to check it out a little, then i deleted it and ill erase it permanetly, i do have a firewall though. And yes, it would be stupid for valve to sue its customers
well hey this is ****ing bullshit, valve just ****ed themselves over, now d3 will be out by then, and ut 2k4 will have no compeition. I cant believe it got leaked by a ****in exploit in IE and outlook, hell i could do a better job at IT then the ppl at valve
