    When you start a real match, are all entities, props and textures owned by the same person? As I understand, they wont render at all, even as 'error' entities unless both of you own everything in-game.

    Freeman97, I would probably say your best route is to make as much of the game as you know how to make, then submit it as a beta mod to the community - if it's a quality build, and it demonstrates your skills with Hammer and as a level designer, I see no reason why people wouldn't jump on board...

    Half life 2 bunny hop?

    They don't exist, I would imagine. Same with Portal 2, the Source engine was cut down quite a bit to get it to work stably on consoles, so some 'glitches' like bunny hopping and abh stopped working for games included in it. That, and Valve like you to play their game the way it was intended...

    Sorry - I didn't explain. I've had to give them the uncompiled files, because the .bsp's wont run when I give them to them. The same can be said for any BSP's I download online - we just can't plain run custom maps from our copies of Portal 2 without having compiled them from VMF beforehand...

    I would think it more likely that Lombardi was referring to the likelihood of 3D support anytime soon, rather than indirectly announcing Portal 3. On the 'Move' side however, Valve supports the use of the Novint Falcon Controller for most of their original Orange Box games for PC. Hilariously...

    Yeah - GFScape is created with the .NET framework. It would take more effort than is necessary to make an equivalent for OSX. You could perhaps try using WINE and installing the .net framework on your MAC that way?
