Innovation and originality in gameplay are not necessarily technological innovation. If he have both: great, but at a gameplay level such innovation is needed.
None at all, if you enjoy that kind of game. It was a generalization so it's gonna be always unfair. It was more a critic to all annual releases really, i've just mentioned Call of Duty because it's also an fps and it's very well known. COD, Assassin's creed and other annual releases almost...
I agree with that, but i want some degree of innovation and originality. Not necessarily a total shift of HL style, but i don't want an Half-life 2 episode. They were great, but too many time has passed. I need a jump comparable of HL to HL2 or Portal 1 to Portal 2: same basic mechanics, lots of...
I asked myself the same question... Seems like a big waste of time and i can only imagine two reasons to do something like this:
- He have plenty of time.
- He really thought that this wasn't a obvious troll.
Or... maybe he is not a troll! ;)

Write an entirely new game should be far more exciting. It's an all new plot to build and endless possibilities are constantly open. It should be harder too, what means that it's far more challenging. I think that a talent writer forced to stay limited to previous already established plot lines...
Honestly, it was not clear. The way you have spoken, looked that you was referring to the author of the post.
Of course is fake. My point is that, with your explanation, people can understand why is a fake leak. Otherwise they will continue to believe in his veracity because informers as Valve...
I know that (as i said, i agree)... but
simply does not appear a right way to put things. I know that this "leaks" happens almost every month, but i think that it's more reasonable to explain to people why they shouldn't trust in certain informations and informers. Simply say "that's a lie now...
Omnomnick, i agree with your arguments but you can indeed be less aggressive in the way you put them. You can simple explain why you think they are fake in a more nice way? I understand your frustration but you could at least try not "explode" :)
