100% CPU Usage spikes!

AH! This is really odd... just starting today I get really bad spikes of 100% cpu usage, for no reason sometimes. Other times it is when I open a new application, or try to move a window on the screen. I have 784 ? Mb of 2100 mHz DDR RAM so I dont think that is the problem. Anyone know of a virus, or a bug that causes this? Check out my computer usage graph...

Look in the processes on that and it shows what uses the most CPU usage. If something is taking up a shitload of usage, close it.

nah, the biggest thing is explorer, which is basically windows.

just look at it for a intervall...it can basicly be anything, I have sometimes WORD taking up to 90% of Processorusage (and no...I don't have a 486^^). just look for a process/ programm you ended but whos .exe is still in the process window.

If you said its in spikes then look at them for awhile and see if anything goes up a lot.
