100x time Oblivion video

Wow. Just Wow. That is unbelievable. It's funny how little you notice the scenery in this game the more you get into it.

Impressive.

Speechless, the sun and cloud dynamics are amazing! I didn't notice that at all! How the Sun actually moves East/West and casts a glow on the clouds.

The clouds look so real. Incredible.

Completely stunning, but he should have included the atmosphere change when nearing an Oblivion gate. That is face-meltingly beautiful.

I tried this 100x time setting, but whenever I didn't move the mouse for a while, the game switched to third person and started going round my character. And moving through the world is impossible, cause it's a bit bugged then - whenever I collide with something, I just die.

But it's still sweet if you have a save in a nice open spot, so that you don't have to walk anywhere.

I'm level 38 and I haven't encountered an Oblivion gate yet :( I'm still on story mission one, hehe.

Don't feel too bad Suicide, I haven't even delivered the amulet to the priest guy at the place near the city, I just sorta tossed it into the lake right after I got out of the sewers.

How could you toss a quest item? Whenever I try to leave a quest item, it says I can't.

Great vid with great music. Oblivion is definitely the most beautiful game I have played to date. I remember when I first noticed the clouds moving I just stayed there and watched them in awe. Very impressive work Bethesda!

That's actually what happened with me and rockshatter... I found two to pawn the second one off and I found out that you can't do that... So... I can't finish the quest cuse I have two. Does anything have an idea how to solve this? (It's been like 20 games hours too, so no loading) Damn quest items.

It's possible, but more than likely he used video editing software. Recorded the game play, then speed up the recording and saved it like that.

Why would he do that if he can use the console command? Record 500 minutes (lots of GB) to make 5 out of it (the lenght of the video)?

The command is:

fGlobalTimeMultiplier

in Documents and Settings/YourName/My Games/Oblivion/Oblivion.ini

OK I wasn't aware there was a console command for it. I change the speed of video all the time, thats why I thought that, but I agree that would be a ridiculously large file.

But that is interesting! I guess the physics would be unrealistically fast if you speed it up much at all though - I mean if you wanted to play the game with it slightly faster.

It might be cool to try:

fGlobalTimeMultiplier 1.25
or 1.5 or 2

It sure is buggy at 100x ;]

Oh, I read that but I didn't make sense of it, since I didn't know that it was possible to change the game speed.

Try it at 1.25 or 1.75 or 2x. I'm curious if you can even do it, and how it plays. It might be even better like that - at least for impatient people

I wonder how many takes the person had to do after getting randomly attacked by a wolf or something

Just a question since I'm thinking about buying it:
Are there massive thunderstorms that you can see rolling in?

There's nothing like huge thunderstorms.

Yes, there's a lot of rain and flashing. That was actually how my first day on the continent was, running through the forest with rain pouring on me and lightning flashing.
