11 Sci-fi Tv shows for 2011

As I haven't even seen the latest Doctor Who Christmas special I can't really comment on the new series of Doctor Who. The only one I can really commnet on is Torchwood. I'm a bit apprehensive about the new series. There's no way it can be better than the previous series', and the cast is so different now that Tosh, Owen and Ianto (sob) are gone, but I'm going to give it a chance. It'll probably end being like how i was with DW series 5: i was really uncertain about the new Doctor but once I watched an episode i realised it wasn't that bad and began to like a bit more as the series went on. So I imagine it will be a similar scenario with Torchwood.

Terra Nova - Might be interesting. The concept sounds similar to the old "Land of the Lost" TV show. Hopefully it will be serious, and not too campy.

Falling Skies - sounds like yet another sci-fi drama, with emphasis on the character drama, and the sci-fi part far off somewhere in the background. No thanks.

Torchwood - I've watched only a few episodes of the first series, and while Doctor Who has that charm that makes you continue to watch it, this show has none of that. I didn't like any of the characters aside from Captain Jack, and the scenarios I found to be just as bad as in episodes of Primeval. So, not interested.

The Walking Dead - After a dissapointing first season, I doubt I'll watch the second season. Hell, I didn't even bother to watch the last episode of this season.

Doctor Who 6 - Liked series 5, and the Christmas special, looking forward to more.

Terra Nova = Dinosaurs + Spielberg = Jurassic Park = WANT

Agreed Ennui, but Fury on the outs with the project? I'm iffy.

I'm iffy too, just generally, but I have no particular love for Fury. As far as I can tell he's just a particularly competent producer. I certainly don't want the show to be campy at all either. But I do ****ing LOVE dinosaurs.

I'm vaguely interested in the other Spielberg thing, post-alien-invasion Falling Skies as its the product of the Saving Private Ryan writer. That means it could be gritty and watchable, but I am still kind of skeptical about the whole premise of the show in general. Outcasts (BBC miniseries starring APOLLO) looks sort of intriguing too but I can't find out much about it so who knows.

Definitely excited about The Walking Dead season 2.

Theres only 3 shows on that list I even know about, and in order of excitedness they are; A Game of Thrones; Camelot; Walking Dead Season 2.

With a large gap between each of them.
