"12/22/04 3:37" Steam Update Problems

The Problem:
When trying to load up HL2, before the menu screen (blurry background picture) fully loads, I get this error: "The instruction at "0x00baf920" referenced memory at "0x00baf920". The memory could not be "read"."

I am currently looking on steampowered.com for a fix, but is anyone else having a similar problem?

Oh, and HL2 was happily working before this update, just to let anyone know. :sniper:

Well, not even rebooting, but about four hours after I posted that, I randomly tried HL2 again, and it worked. Strange, huh? I also sent a steampowered customer service "ask a question" thing where you give them a msinfo32.nfo file to show them possibly what conflicts caused it. Oh well. I'm Just happy that it's working!
