Which one do you think would be worth it more? A 120gb Seagate Barracuda or a Western Digital 74gb 10,000RPM Raptor.

I am afraid I will fill up the Raptor to quickly or am I wrong?

I was considering between the two for my new PC and tbh for a lil bit of extra load speed its not worth having to mess about trying to manage installs even with mostly older games Id fill that 74 GB in now time.. :/ Id suggest saving a bit of cash and goin with the Seagate. :)

Most people say they can fill up the raptor's in no time but I think its a bunch of BS if your only playing games. Think about. My windows xp and all my virus software and microsoft office takes up about 5 gigs. Then I still have 69 gigs left over for games. Just say that games are about 2 gigs each. Some are more some are less. You still have enough room for 34 games. And we all know that you are never going to play 34 games. Even if you do fill it up all you have to do is save your savefiles for the game to a disk and then uninstall the game and reinstall it whenever you play it again. But I like to make sure that I have about 30% of my hard drive for free space at all times. Levels load faster if your hard drive isnt full.

The WD 74 10.000 raptor is a damn nice piece of hardware! It's actually more quite then the 36GB version and most regular 7200rpm disks! In compairing with alot of benchmarks it even beat some SCSI disks so go for it!

Aye, Raptors are great.

If you don't get a raptor then look to the Seagate and Hitachi SATA harddrives. Their performance is on top for the 7200RPM drives. All three of these drives are pretty quiet too.

I've had this 30GB HDD since I got my Dell in June last year. And I don't just have games. I have music, videos, a bunch of stuff that takes up space. I'm running low now though.
