My monitor does 1280x1024 at 85hz. And it does 1792 x 1344 at 68hz. I have not idea what 1600x1200 would run at but im guessing 72. I have never had a graphics card powerfull enough to run a game at 1600x1200 so Im just wondering am I going to notice the difference of 85 vs 72hz when playing games? I can clearly see the difference on the desktop. Anyone with a graphics card powerfull enough to run a game that high can you give me your opinion.
Just wondering. This might factor into a decision for anyone buying a graphics card thinking it so uber because it can run it at 1600x1200 and then find out it hurts their eyes and they have to play it at 1280x1024 anyway.

theres going to be no visual difference but the 85hz will hurt your eyes less but for me there wasnt much of a difference. just as long as its above 60 :D

I don't really run games at 1600x1200, simply becuase I think it's too large of a resolution for my monitor. I run games at 1280x960 or 1024x768. That way I can enable AA and AF.

Oh, and if you are not running a TFT monitor, change your resolution to 1280x960, since 1280x1024 is for TFT and LCD monitors.
