1334 Installation Error .cab solution

Solved installation problem.

Completely uninstall previous Steam installation. Remove all directories etc.

Insert the cd and the cd will install a new version of steam.

You shouldn't get the 1334 error any longer.

cd doesn't install a new version of steam...
it gives an error saying steam must be installed before being able to install hl2
