When I try and patch my Test drive unlimited beta with the newest patch. (which is an exe program RPatcher) I get an error "16 bit windows subsystem
C:\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX\local settings\temp\. A temporary file needed for initialization could not be created or could not be written to. make sure that the directory path exists and disk space is avalible.

I have 20gb avalible....

The path exists....

my standard autoexec.nt and config.nt files are correctly set.

All solutions with google i have tried and they don't do anything...

have you tried reinstalling Test Drive?

Download the patch from a seperate source? Sounds like it puts some files in the temp folder, but they are corrupted...not sure.

The patch is only availble from one source because its a closed beta test from fileplanet. But the problem is not the game at all... its actually something wrong in my OS.

I appreciate the reply though...
