Kudos to Iced_Eagle for originally posting this on hl2world.com. I'm not gonna spoil it for you so click here: http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3148397
It's the last podcast for 2006. Don't skip around either because it's the first thing they talk about. The game sounds extremely hard though.

Yeah original thread title failed ya Uriel!

Off to bed so will try and find some time soon to get it!

Nah, your topic actually has a good topic name... Don't close it :P

Either way, from my experience of playing the game they gave awesome descriptions.

The only thing that I can't talk about is how the respawn system works, because I never respawned.

What I'm assuming is going to happen is the following.

When you die you go into a temporary spectator mode.

Now, along the map there are probably two or three "safe zones" which is a room where you can close (and lock) the doors so you can stock up on ammo and health. Now I say safe because zombies can slowly start to break through the doors.

I'm going to guess that those rooms are where people will respawn.

I hope there are a bit more than two or three respawns in a 45 minute map. Because if you happen to get squished by a thrown car right after you pass a respawn point you're looking at a good 15 minute wait. The PC Gamer article said you find respawned players calling for help from locked closets, I'm hoping there will be enough to reduce the wait to 5 minutes max. btw, the game is in first person, right?

Well, I am totally guessing and don't take that as fact.

There are two things which everyone should know I did not experience.

1) Respawning
2) Winning the game :P Constantly lost unfortunately...

Well I think you may be still holding out on another game Iced_Eagle! :D Ever hear of The Crossing? It is being developed outside of Valve by the creaters of Dark Mesiah and the art director of HL2: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/8142# If you look to the right of the movie, you can watch a larger version which I recommend.

Nope, never heard of it or played it.

I'm going to keep a close eye on it though! Looks really interesting! :)
