Oki, this is the dealio, I ordered over a month ago the "OCZ 2x1GB PC3200 EL Titanium Series Dual Channel Kit ***"
Now I was promised a 2 week delivery date because they where out of stock

I am getting sick of the waiting, so I send an e-mail asking about how long i have to wait, and they informed me that they wont be getting high end OCZ products in a while

and they are trying to convince me to get me a "Mushkin 2x1GB HP3200@232 DDR SDRAM Dual pack **" wich is 40 euro's cheaper then the OCZ sticks

the question is:

What would you advise me to do, wait for the OCZ sticks or go with the Mushkin, I heard good things about them but I don't know alot of people that have them, and most peeps praize OCZ above all. plus I never ever saw a review about mushkin

I'd tell them to go screw themselves. The simple fact of the matter is they didn't deliver what and when they promised. Then on top of that, they didn't even let you know until what sounds like WEEKS later, when you finally emailed them to complain. Where was the courtesy email or phone call two weeks ago saying, "Sorry sir, looks like your order won't be in for another month. What would you like us to do?"

THEN when you complain (2 weeks after your supposed to get it), all they try and do is sell you something crappier? What kind of customer service is that...? Who cares if its almost the same thing..? Maybe if it was a month ago you'd take it, but now? Screw that dude.. at this point, buy the OCZ somewhere else, and then tell them why you won't be ordering from them anymore.

At least that's what I'd do.. I'm a picky as hell consumer and if I get lousy customer service like that, I tell them exactly how I feel, and then I go to another retailer. Theres too many businesses and companies to order the exact same products from. You don't have to deal with those companies with crappy service. Use your power as a consumer. Go on Ebay or somewhere else, I'm sure if you shop around you can find somewhere with it in stock.

Sorry I sound so heated, I'm just imagining myself in the same position.. I wouldn't be happy... I think two weeks is a long time to wait.. A month..? The price is probably lower by now, lol...

true, I know where you are coming from, but I am not as "agressive" as you. anyway, the only company in the netherlands where I can order the same sticks and get them delivered fast is a shitty company who gets real bad ratings of bad communication etc etc, and I am not looking to worsen my epxerience with ordering stuff trough the internet

:s dunno .. the only priority I have is getting some memory soon

You live in the netherlands...? Screw ram, go buy pot!

Erm... on topic, id say go with the Mushkin and save yourself any more trouble
I doubt you'd ever be able to notice any difference between the two performance wise anywayz

argh my topic fell back so many post's. anyone know if mushkin is any good?

Mushkin is good. Although if it was me I would wait for the OCZ. I perfer OCZ. /shrug
It's up to you. I'm not in your position so I don't know how urgently you need them.

Mushkin is very good, I know some people who have Mushkin RAM sticks and they managed to overclock pretty well. But just like Asus, OCZ is my personnal preference (I bought a pack of OCZ Platinum EL Dual Channel 2x1GB 2-3-2-5). I don't think it will make a huge difference at the end, the performances will probably be similar. It's up to you.

same probs for the platinum, its almost impossible to get OCZ in a decent timeframe
