2 - not 4 speakers (help)

For some reason counterstrike (and hl) will not recognize the fact that i have 4 speakers. Under 2 speakers it works fine, but 4 - nothing.
I've got a 4 speaker logitech system
w/ a live! soundblaster card

drivers have been updated multiple times w/o result.
and the surround works fine in everything except cs....

Anyone???!?

Set to 4 speakers within the driver settings... then go in game to audio settings and set to 4 speakers there aswell

Yea, I made sure that the drivers had the same setting - there's still no sound from the rear speakers.

is windows set to quadraphonic sound?

Look in the sounds and audio device settings.

Yes, windows is set to quadraphonic, but for some reason i only get sound from halflife when its on the 2 speaker setting. When i try changing it to 4 there is nothing.
