The entire point of this film is to destroy everything in the most awesome way possible. It's directed by Roland Emerich after all, the guy that directed Independence Day, so why is this at all a surprise?

I just watched this trailer and LOLed at how they drive the car with everything collapsing right behind them and then switch to a jet and yet again, as they take off everything is collapsing RIGHT BEHIND THEM.
