The killers left the jewelry. Nor did they touch the cash register. They paid no heed to the three video cameras that recorded the entire scene.

Lying dead that afternoon of March 14, 2007, were an off-duty police commander and his wife, Benjamin Espinosa and Griselda Melendez, who apparently were shopping for a religious medallion in gratitude for a successful intestinal operation on their hospitalized infant daughter. Beyond them lay Ignacia Perez, a homemaker who lived on a former garbage dump and sold jewelry to neighbors, who paid her in weekly installments

Sprawled near the entrance was Fernando Rodriguez, an unarmed security guard who took the $90-a-month job to save for his oldest daughter's 15th birthday celebration. He lived in terror that someone with a gun would come through that door.

Holy shit.

Holy christ that video was intense. Angle 3 especially... poor security guard. :(

Yeah he got ****ing destroyed. Reading the link's description of him is really sad.

what happened to the first guy with the gun? he like falls, slips it looks like, then is helped out
at the end. shot by his mates? f*cking hope so.

Yeah they shot him by mistake. They way the woman in the dark clothing goes down, like a tonne of bricks D:

I like the article though as it really go's in to the victims lives, and highlights the damage done, the tragedy that resulted in only 23 seconds.

Also didn't think we were allowed to post things like this here, I only brought this up at the haus.

Damn. If it wasn't for the innocents killed, I'd LOL at the dumb guy that ran in forward rambo-style and got shot by his own mates.

Ugh, I shouldn't have watched that. :(

Interesting to see how adrenaline affects the shooter's movements.

At least the guard died dramatically. If I was him I would have been pretty proud of that death.

The reason the shooter got shot was because the security guard startled the second shooter, causing him to just spray his fire in an arc to the left, which made it so he ended up hitting his amigo.

So I guess the security guard at least got one of them.
