2D Castlevania

I think Konami should make a new 2D Castlevania game for the current generation of consoles. Symphony of the Night is just about my favorite game of all time. Think what they could pull off on the PS2 or Xbox! Same goes for Mario or Metroid or any other classic franchise. They don 't do it because they claim that 2D games don't sell well. They may be right.

Would you guys buy a new 2D Castlevania?

as good of reviews as the last castlevania got for the ps2 i think they'll continue to make it in 3d from here on out.

if you want side scrolling your gonna have to stick with the game boy advance.

I have it for gameboy advance and I love it. I dont think im going to get the 3d one though.

you can find the ps2 version used for pretty cheap.

and it's definitely worth a run through if your into castlevania.

There are a couple of sidescoller marios coming out. Mostly for the DS, if I remember.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, best Castelvania ever.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night as a close second

and hell yeah I would buy another Castlevania in 2d.
(the 3d CVs have been rather lackluster)

My favorite 2D Castlevania game is Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for the GBA. I played that for hours and hours and hours on end...when I had my GBA.
