3 Doors Down?

Awful band. But I remember back in 1999 or whatever year this came out I was amazed by the song along with the video.

I got a pub 3 doors down, its rather nice tho a little expensive for my tastes.

Genericore pop-rock!

I'm not sure what the problem is with 'generic'. If you like a genre, then you're going to listen to something that fits it. It may not give you the 'shiny new' feeling of non-generic stuff, but it fits the bill.

I dont care what anybody says here, 3DD are awesome.

Easily my second favourite band ever right now.

They did release a new album very quietly, Where My Christmas Lives. It was basically about 2 new songs, and just acoustic covers of their best songs from their previous, self-titled 3 Doors Down album.

I cant remember if they did it for free or not. Either way I didnt pay for it *cough*.

My favourite song from their 3 Doors Down album.

KA just projects his deep-seeded self-esteem problems by demeaning other people's relatively non-obscure tastes in music.

Can't say I'm a fan but I remember when Kryptonite came out and I loved that song, still do.

Funnily enough its their one album I really dont like. Songs like Down Poison just irritated me.

I liked those songs Kryptonite and Loser (?), when I was about 12.

Loser is still pretty good.

If they were 3 doors down from me I would firebomb their practice room.

Hahahaha, you amateurs are still listening to music at audible frequencies? Get with the times, morons, the future is here, and it's called infrasound R'n'b

Sure is Junior High School in here.

HAH.

That was actually pretty good.

Unlike 3 Doors Down.

^ That was better.

Unlike JUL3!'s taste in music.

EDIT: Oh wait, frosted made this thread.

But of course you notice that I haven't changed the spoiler. ;o

Meta.

3 Doors Down isn't bad. I liked their first album when it came out. It's not like Nickleback or someshit.

Well, it's one of those bands I used to listen to, but don't any more, but that I don't hate or anything. I just don't listen to them any more.

I guess that would explain why my new Sennheiser's go down to 12 Hz.

But only up to 19kHz D:

Already tried it, a majority of speakers (At least consumer level ones) can't play a low-enough frequency.

I had an apparently sub-bass oscillator running constantly in the background of a track, and no one noticed.

there was once a myth that drone legends played brown noise a few times at gigs. when i saw them last year the shows were beyond 140/50 decibels which is a good example of how loud they are. stunningly good.

DRONE

Well, as a musician with a pair of Cerwin-Vega loudspeakers, I have played around with the waves, making my own bass notes well past my range of hearing. I don't remember if the program specified the frequency, but I could make it so that I cannot hear it, only feel it. It was of the limits of my sound system (and sometimes beyond).

I absolutely love low frequency bass, with purpose. I wouldn't just want to listen to sound waves, but if it's part of the music, I just feel awe by it. It's impressive to me.

This describes how it feels better than I can:

My speakers are much bigger! See how he is just 'blown away'? It feels like that to me emotionally. I love good music.

if i wasn't so tired i would read the rest of this thread to find out how we got from radio rock drivel like 3 doors down to awesome low end frequency discussion. man i ****ing love dropping the tuning on my bass guitar to ridiculous lows

Yeah, I'm tired as hell too; I'm going to bed. I would love to hear some recordings of you playing bass sometime. <3 bass guitar

I think we should leave these two alone.

This just furthers the ideology that discussing music is futile. Everyone has different tastes and will defend their favourite band to the death.

Pistols at dawn gents?

I will personally never know why people love Metallica and Slipknot for example. Or Arc'ic Monk'eys, or...dear god...Kaiser Cheifs. Or JLS.

Half the music these days is nothing but boybands or wannabe stars that only have the looks.

They're all just corporate shields posing as musicians to further a modelling career. End of. How many bands have we seen disappear after a few chart hits. Why the ***k hasnt JLS disappeared yet? Oh right, ''coz dey is well fit, innit''.

Off to go smash my head against a wall until it bloody well hurts.

I think you've smashed your head against enough walls as it is.

Dynasty's favorite band is 3 Doors Down. He listens to it on his iPad all the time.

I read this post and this thread (without much regard to 3DD) and tried to see if my bass subwoofer could pass the threshold of hearing to the threshold of "feeling", so to speak.

Apparently the subwoofer does play it at loud enough levels, but my speakers don't :( I tried to use a sine oscillator about three octaves down middle C for this. Needless to say my head is in pain and now I'm tired too.

edit: sorry to derail this thread further, I was just compelled to make this post.
