w00t i bought one! i got the Xbox with Burnout 3, fable, an extra controller and a RAF cable for £155 :P

i absolutely love fable, the variation is astonishing and slicing things with a sword is great fun. i had to protect a farm from bandits, and i made like 4 boasts saying that i would do it naked, without any weapons, with nothing stolen and none of the guards dying. and i did it all rofl :P such fun

burnout 3 is pr0- its so f'ing fast! its like number 2 only ten times better and you can F*CK UP THE OPPONENTS CARS!!! man i love this game! i love my Xbox! i love everything!

oh excellent news, But you should ve waited for XBOX2.

ah anyway, good luck with the new toy :D

Congratz!

I am glad you picked one up, especially with those two AAA titles you have there.

I love both my Fable and Burnout 3: Takedown. I just can't get enough of either of them.

Morrowind satisfies me for my singlepalyer stuff :).

Fable was a dissapointment.

ok..... errr... care to explain? maybe its because you were expecting it to be great, and i was expecting it to be slightly above average. /me <3 it

I bought an Xbox a while ago - have got these games: -

Project Gotham Racing 2
Midtown Madness 3
Micro Machines
Dead or Alive 3
Soul Calibur 2

And just the other day I bought Burnout 3 - and I'd have to agree with you - it is absolutely awesome :D 10/10

PGR2 is also one hell of a sweet racing game.

The game takes about 7 hours to beat, that is the only letdown I found.

And the fact that they took about half the game out and replaced all the good stuff with invisible walls, the game was supposed to be like Morrowind with horses and better graphics.

Congratulations on your purchase, I have an X-Box too and I like it alot.

Peter Mollienuckz got everyone all hyped up with what was going to be one of the best, if not the best RPG of all time.

After the game was released he even gave out an apology to everyone who bought it.

I don't believe that for a second - at least not in the way you're suggesting.

Maybe he apologised axing a few features that were promised a long time ago.

Anyhoo - the XBox is a sweet system (almost up there with the GC imo :) ) Hope you enjoy your purchase.

Fable apology.

It's mainly for making promises he couldn't keep.

i'll guaruntee you Lionhead would've implemented a large number of those features if Fable was a PC only title :hmph:

i hope Fable has taught Molyneux not to develop for the xbox or a console as it's just too much of a hinderance on creativity.

although i like Fable, it's just a quaint distraction but nothing to write home about. while playing it, the only words that come to mind are "...is that it?".

glad you like your xbox Suicide! :D you gonna get XBL? it doesn't really appeal to me but Halo 2 on XBL does look tempting.

I was thinking of getting a ps2 and xbox for a few games that interested me hanvt decided yet tho.

that apology is nothing to do with the actual game (which i love) but more about the features that werent included (which i never heard anyway- the only thing i knew about your game is that your character looks evil if he does evil things etc, so i didnt know what to expect and it suprised me with its brilliance). and dedalus, i prefer it on a console to a PC- youll just have to trust me on that. the combat system is absorbed by the controller so well- it is truly at home on the Xbox. on a PC it would feel restricted and annoying :/

and about Xbox live- i wasnt going to get it... untill i found out it was £40 FOR A YEAR SUBSCRIPTION! w00t! i thought it was like a tenner a month or something, but you just buy a pack and thats you done for a year! so im definately going to get it now, but probally only at christmas / when halo2 comes out.

>NOTE: can any UK gamers comment on the official XB magazine? is it worth buying for the demos and stuff? because i actually know NOTHING bout X-box games (which is why im asking you for reccomendations :D).

one last thing- yesterday i put in my StarWars bonus disc to see if my Xbox can play DVDs, and guess what? theres a star wars: battlefront PLAYABLE DEMO on it- Xbox only :D lol it was such a suprise, i ended up playing the endor level against bots for about an hour :) the only bad thing was i found out i need to buy a remote controller to play DVDs... theyre just trying to get as much money as possible :(
