What kind of cable do I need to play my 360 on a computer monitor. Since I cant reach the router on my HDTV, this might be a better bet.....

You'd need a VGA cable. Microsoft do an official one for about £20 (Not sure how much where you live)
It'd be best to get the official one as I've heard there is loss of quality in some of the third party ones.

ok, so thats 1 part....now for a monitor

I know a good amount about them, but id like to get some feedback on some that people actually have.....any suggestions?

My 17" and 21" CRT monitors both display the image brilliantly. Theres sometimes black bars at the top and bottom but you really dont notice them.

What monitor do you have at the moment?

I use a Viewsonic 17'' LCD, forgot the exact model at the moment, and I use the VGA 360 cable. Some little problems are present though since my max resolution is 1280x1024. Games run in widescreen, meaning the top and bottom of the monitor have black bars. In Gears of War however, since 1280x1024 is not a 4:3 resolution, it gets extra wide than usual and it makes the game look squished (doors not narrow, but wide, aswell as characters). The other game I have is Sonic the Hedgehog, and that one plays fine. And as far as I can tell (by downloading demos) the only other game I have a problem with is PGR3. That one for some reason plays in fullscreen and the game is displayed all narrow like.

What kind of money are you looking at spending tyguy ? That's probably the most important thing in terms of what you should get. The Samsung SM-215TW is a 21 inch widescreen:

Admittedly it's not exactly a budget monitor, but it does have fantastic image quality, and comes with component inputs as well as d-sub, dvi etc. Therefore would allow you to connect the 360 with the component cables supplied with the premium pack, whilst also leaving you with one hell of a monitor.

Whats the next best thing, lets say for 100 bucks cheaper?

Well, the problem doesn't lie in getting a screen for cheaper, as there are plenty of top notch 20.1 inch widescreens about, it's just that there are only a handful that have component inputs, and they tend to be the highest quality screens such as the samsungs. Obviously you can still use d-sub to connect your 360 to a screen though:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824116381 - good screen, won many reviews, still a favourite of many

http://www.belinea.com/Products/TFT_20/product_moni_tft.jsp?node=121&artnr=112005 - currently one of the best screens on offer in its price range, couldn't find it on newegg though

http://www.trustedreviews.com/displ...NEC-MultiSync-20WGX2-20-1in-widescreen-LCD/p1 - probably the best picture quality out of any 20 inch widescreens out there, again, not sure it was on newegg, worth a look around though.

Dell Ultrasharp 2007WFP - Top quality monitor, well worth it if you can get it for a decent price (price tends to fluctuate a lot)

Those would be my reccomendations.
