The 3D2Toy site has put up the patterns for a full Antlion toy. Downloadable, these patterns allow you to recreate a lifelike replica of a good portion of the Half-Life 2 monster collection. Whilst many are still in progress, there are still favourites such as the Headcrab and Bullsquid available.

It looks cool, although i dont think i have the patience to make one.

Cheers,
bbyybb.

I'm sorry, but I don't get it. What can I do with this pattern? I mean, I can use it to build a model but how am I supposed to do that looking at the sketches? I could as well make a screenshot and make my model looking at the antlion in the screenshot. I guess I'm wrong so please explain :]

Check out the gallery, the pattern lets you make plush toys and such.

Hmmm..... I would rather tear out my eyes than make one of those hand crab teadys. What ever floats your boat I supose....

The headcrabs are kinda creapy, I think it moves at night when i'm trying to sleep(just kidding), but the chumtoad and snark arn't really that evil looking.

i like my headcrab, its got no tetthy bits so its really cute and fluffy.

girlfriend won't make me an antlion, i want one soo much!!

I just went to my local library and got them to print the poster edition of the ant lion. I'm going to start a side project off 3d2toy.com with just progress of the antlion. It's huge.

For people that live on trailer parks...
taht's better than buying a plastic "action-figure" crap for 50$, isn't it?

I'd disagree ... In the rare event that you really must have a real life headcrab / antlion model, then paying 50$ for one you can actually move and won't blow away in a draft is probably worth what you pay for it, where as one you fold together from a sheet of paper is just no fun at all.

Umm, it's made from fabric, not paper.

The first one I made was paper, but fabric rules over that. Now only if I can make a ant lion bean bag chair.

I saw the origonal headcrab you did ages ago, that was really cool. I love the different variations that you display in my gallery- i soooo badly want a headcrab covered in tinsel :D
