3DBuzz is uploading crap loads of their videos onto youtube

You may not know what 3DBuzz is, but their videos might interest you.

I know Krynn really likes them, and I've loved them for years now. A few other HL2.netters as well.

Anyway, I've noticed that they're uploading hundreds and hundreds of their videos onto youtube. Not all of them of course, since member sponsors still need a lot, but they are uploading a shit load of videos on programming and various 3d packages spanning a large range.

Yeah, 3DBuzz is far and away the best online training I've ever seen. They're staggeringly thorough in everything they do.

Oh, sweet. They have Maya tuts on their website. Never utilised 3DBuzz, although my 3D Modelling knowledge is extremely basic right now. Only just started playing with 3D.

I work more with After Effects and have been using Video Co-Pilot for stuff I'm lacking in/need reminding of. Seems cool, though. Will have to check it out.

Also, something else I didn't know about until last week was that if you're a student you can get pretty much every Autodesk product for free (by free they mean a 3 year license.) http://students.autodesk.com/

This is what I'm using currently. Just make an account and boom. It's pretty easy.

i just dowloaded the trial for After Effects yesterday with plans to learn and eventually purchase it, and see they have a number of AE tutorials... can i ask how you taught yourself though?

I didn't! I'm currently doing a course at Uni that allows me to specialise in Digital Media. After Effects is part of it and my Sensei (tutor) has mad skills. But I seriously recommend using Video Co-Pilot for learning some great techniques in After Effects. I've used it for a tonne of stuff, awesome lot of tutorials on there.

Ah 3dbuzz has always been pretty good for free tutorials. I like that the vids are quite chatty which keeps them from being too boring.

If anyone is trying to get into game development I would recomend eat3D, they are not free but very good and talking through many aspects of creating art for video games.

The Eat3D tutorials I've seen have been fantastic, though I think a bit too advanced for people starting out. 3DBuzz is the best way to start, because then you'll know the applications inside and out before you start learning the techniques.

I'm probably not the only person who will admit to having developed quite the man-crushes on Zak and Jason over the years. I love hearing those two talk and chat.

I guess part of it is because I also listen to the Radio Shows, which are ****ing awesome.
