3DMark 2001

So rightnow I'm downloading 3DMark 2001, because I'm getting a new videocard on tuesday.
If I have understood the whole thing correctly, this program shows how good your card is, and shows some benchmarks or what? I wanna see the difference between the card I've got now and the one I'm getting on Tuesday!

I think 3DMark03 should give you a better idea, unless it won't run on your current card.

3dmark03 is the current version.. be prepared for a shock if you have never run it.. it will point out all your flaws, and bring your systems to its knees .. my first time i ran it was the same thing you are doing.. a video upgrade, my number went from 1500 to 5000 to 6000 after some tweaking. also pay close attention to all the settings to make sure they are what you run your games set at. if you want something to shoot for i heard someone broke 10,000 a while back.. makes my rig look like it's standing still.

They're in the high 16,000s now. But yea on my old computer I scored a 153 . I got a newer comp and now I score a 5843 with all my stuff default(not OC'ed).

interesting again to see that the 6800 Ultra drops performance in the most shader abusive displays (Mother Nature).....

The processor is Over Clocked that's why it's such a weird number.
