3dmark05 scores.......

Sure, sounds about right. Are you looking for advice on how to raise it or just upset at the score? Go and compare it to the other scores on futuremark's ORB, get an approximation of where you should be.

It's rather easy to be unfair and raise your score in benchmarks like this. When you are compairing scores remember that they could have saved their score with it set to performance and not quality with options in the display properties changed.

Dammit!!!!!!! I need a new video carddddd lol, I got some f***ing 350 for my score!!!!! damn you fx 5600... I'm getting a X800 XT PE, is it worth the money? or should I get a normal X800? is there too much difference? thx

i get 3066 with everything @ quality, rather than "high-quality", in the ATI control panel.

cadaveca how are you getting a higher score with your 9800 compared to the X800's?

use the beta ATI 8.07 driver for ATI cards. 66.78 performs real good for Nvidia as well, but i do not currently have my ultra's installed, so take the Nvid suggestionwith a grain of salt.

standard rule of thumb , download the 3Dmark2005 and run with default settings for the score to make it a fair score.

Well you can always leave it to 'standard' settings, which includes resolution, AA, AF etc. And the free 3Dmark2005 won't let you change those settings.

But in display properties you can enable optimization and performance settings rather than quality. You never know what someone used for their 3Dmark score. I jumped from a 4200 score in 3Dmark2005 to 4500 or 4700 I believe when I set my settings in display properties from Quality to Performance and turned on the optimizations.

I know it's best to show your score with quality settings but there is no way of knowing if the score you are comparing with did the same.

my computer restarted in the middle of the test lol, isnt that sad? i think it was the heat in my case, my comp has huge heat problems. i too was getting about 5-10fps, but my comp restarted so i never finished lol

agreed Asus, some ppl are score hooo's. I only use it to see what hardware and software { drivers & overclocking } changes make on the score & how they might relate to the differance in game.
