Out of all the 3rd party mods for Halflife, which ones would you most want to see remade with the source engine

The Specialists for me, that would just be awesome

i cant say i like a single hl1 mp mod, but i cant wait to see what excellent new mods come out for hl2, there are some real good sounding ones already being made.

I concur on The Specialists, along with Action Half-Life (I don't like Action in the UT engine at the moment).

HLRally I imagine would be pretty cool

Sven Coop by far. Nothing like taking down a Strider with your buddy. :)

And SixThree, your sig owns all beyond belief.

I'd do it in this order: The Specialists, Natural Selection, Sven Coop, HLRally/Battlegrounds

EDIT: I am so stupid. :p

I would also like to see Specialists, and Digital Paintball. :)

i say vampire slayer. the gravity ability may add some coolness. BTW six3, i was the 250th person slapped! woohoo!

Natural Selection for me.. and i hope they change the game play back to something similar as 1.04 was :p
Sven Co-op would also be something i'd like to try out in source :)

Meh. Screw Sven Coop. It's all about the Zombies baby! nomoreroominhell.com! WHooo!

Natural Selection is my choice.

i completely forgot about sven. sven gets my vote.

I really wish someone would make a CS port to the source engine.. *sigh*

a new and innovative mod.

It's coming :O ( I hope ).... http://www.resonance-mod.com

Resonance – Concept

Introduction
Resonance is a space combat simulation for the PC that uses Valve Software’s “Source” engine to immerse players in an ongoing battle between three factions in deep space.

Engine
The Source engine, used in HalfLife2, Counter-Strike Source and numerous other projects, has the ideal components to allow us to create such a game. The graphics engine is advanced and will aid in creating a beautiful space combat model. The engine utilises the Havok physics engine which will enhance gameplay and convey a sense of realism if put to good use. Most importantly, Valve’s network optimizations in Half-Life were very impressive. The Source engine’s capability to locally predict projectiles and other physics events will be a great benefit in such a game.

Description
In Resonance, you will take command of a small one-man space fighter and battle other players to be the best. You will experience the game from an in-cockpit view with an option of toggling to third-person for those cinematic moments. Fighters will be rather complex to give more experienced players something extra, but will still remain operable by newbies. The GUI, thanks to VGUI2, will be vital in your progression. It will be your first port of call for upgrading, modifying and changing your ship along with acting as your ships computer, allowing you to modify power distribution and weapon settings etc while in-flight. Dogfights will be intense as you struggle for supremacy over the enemy’s craft. You should choose your ship wisely to match your play style. If you like to get up close and dogfight, a light manoeuvrable fighter is what you should go for. If you like to sit back and bombard your target with energy, a heavy bomber would be the ship for you. There will be a variety of weapon types ranging from pure energy weapons to high velocity projectiles to heat seeking missiles. While a vast array of weapons is available, you will have to rely on your skill and perception to survive in a galaxy at war.

Key Features

Advanced Space Flight: Resonance will convey a sense of realistic movement and combat throughout. Ships will have thrust and momentum and act like vehicles would in a zero gravity environment while remaining relatively simple for new players to pick up thanks to on-board (Set phasers to stun) inertial dampening systems.

Complex Damage Model: Fighters in Resonance have key systems. CPU, Thrusters, Reactor Core to name a few. Each of these systems can take damage, and your experiences will change accordingly. For example, if your Thrusters take too much damage, you will be unable to move. If your CPU takes a hit, say good-bye to your radar and targeting systems. This feature will make Resonance a very tense experience, and very rewarding.

Amazing Soundtrack: Resonance has been given special permission to put to use the work of Machinae Supremacy, a Swedish rock band who are heavily influenced by computer games. They have been named, by some, as the founders of a new musical genre; SID-Metal, due to their use of sound processing chips found in old computers. Their unique style will help convey the futuristic setting and provoke aggressive emotions to enhance the intensity of futuristic space combat.

Onion's might smack me about a bit for this, :p but this brief is for public viewing.

Sven-Coop 2 is already being made for the Source engine.. Valve's has given them access to the developement tools ahead of time. So Sven Coop is going to sort of become a second party mod..

Anywho, Natural Selection on source would be my #1 most wanted third party mod. That game would rock on source.

#2 would be They Hunger.. Port 1-3 and then make a #4.. Best SP story for HL outside of the official sp games.

Battlegrounds and Natural Selection are the only mods I'm interested in seeing ported, aside from the ones that are getting the Valve treatment.

The Specialists!! :D :sniper: :bounce: Oh, and natural selection.

LOL...wtf?

News flash buddy...It happened!

Hey, that port is NOT counterstrike. counterstrike ended at beta 7. Thats where it ceased to be counterstrike and became suck.

Two words: They Hunger. Best zombie shooter ever.

I'd be curious to see what Firearms looks like... if only they could make the guns more powerful.

I think an RE mod will be nice, if they can finish it.. Citizen-134 looks nice and SVEN ist teh best IMO.

Are you sure they have the SDK over at Sven? Care to give a source? I know the DOD team has had it for months, but I never heard about Sven getting it. Would be great, though!

Poke 646 or They Hunger would be my singleplayer mods of choice to be ported. For multiplayer (I'll ignore Sven because we know that's being ported) I'd go with Natural Selection, The Battlegrounds and The Specialists.

What's They Hunger? It sounds pretty fun if you shoot zombies. :)

Hmm, i think "Military Forces" from Quake 3 :).
Those people made ol Air Quake :).
That mod for HL2 would be...insane :).

An all new mod that i came up with, temporarily named "The Absence of Malice" I just need the editor now *sigh*
