Protesters, armed with molotov launching slingshots and 60 barrels of volatile liquids, took control over a building that was scheduled to be torn down. The protest was about redevelopment procedures that required habitated buildings to be depopulated and deconstructed in order to renew construction.

Apparently during the protest, a protester threw a moltov, missed the police, and set fire on the 60 barrels of volatile liquid they stored to fight the police which resulted in the deaths those around it.

The police finally seem to have upgraded their equipment...

I believe its because we don't have cannons that large.


Seriously, though, it was the only way to get to the rooftop, and those weren't your usual Combat Police, but actually special strike teams and SWAT. They had fire extinguishers and a water cannon with them. I mean to say, its not like they want to die in a blaze, you know. They're experts at this; they've done this sort of thing since 1989, at the Yonsei Uni incident.

oh and that cartoon of the lowering box is is one sided it's not funny. seriously if they had that much molotov cocktails on hand why didnt everyone go up in a giant fireball? why was only one law enforcement dude killed while 4 protestors died? you'd think with that many firebombs the number of law enforcement dead would number in the dozens. I mean look they're slowly being lowered into an area littered with firebombs, no one thought to pick one up and throw it through the open door making instant charcoal of anyone inside?

Actually, as the police were wearing fireproof armor (a lesson learned from the past, I would imagine) there were far less deaths. However, if you count the number of people injured (17 police VS 6 protesters).....
