1.If I had a savegame from the original copy of Fallout 3, will it work with the GoTY edition?

2.Obviously, a storage device is needed for the GoTY edition. Will a 36GB memory card cut it or do I need a HDD? If so, could I just get a second memory card (which is cheaper) to download that stuff to and just play off the saved games from the first memory card?

3.Is the GoTY edition completely patched up or would I still need to get DLC patches from Xbox Live?

4.I'm torn between getting either Fallout 3 GoTY edition or Borderlands. I can't afford both right now. I loved the original Fallout 3, but Borderlands looks awesome too. I haven't played a single Fallout 3 DLC. What's the better offer?

Ask yourself this: "Do I want to pay twice for the same game?"

Govern yourself accordingly.

That's one thing I forgot to mention. I didn't pay a red cent for the original Fallout 3. My cousin gave it to me. :E

I dont understand people that buy the same product they already have. I have a friend that buys a game, then buys the Game of the year edition if it comes out, then buys it in bluray, and then buys it in whatever format is left. He has like 3-5 copies of each game/movie FOR NO ****ING REASON. He wastes a shitload of money on buying the exact same games/movies in different formats, while i have to spend months deciding on ONE game i can buy FOR THE WHOLE FUKKEN YEAR

****ing rage.

"ZOMG IM BUYING ARKHAM ASYLUM TODAY"
"but...but i thought you already had it"
"LOL NO I DONT HAVE THE BLURAY VERISON"
"but..it...its the same thing...its...its the same game"
"LOL U DONT KNOW WHAT U TALKING ABOUT ITS BLURAY MAN"

I have V for Vendetta on both regular DVD and bluray.

But thats ok because its Natalie Portman and she has a shaved head. Obviously that warrants 1080p.

As for saturos, dont buy the same thing you already have. Not unless the GOTY edition has a bald Natalie Portman in it.

Evey Hammond in the book is so much better.

...

Oh, and granted you already own a game purchasing a GOTY version of it is stupid. Regardless of whether you payed for the original or not.

maybe he is an addicted collector. i buy some repeat stuff like lets say its under $10 or I only have the VHS copy of a movie. getting the used dvd or bluray of it is fine. also i can find some used dvds for under $1 and thats even better if you want a second copy of something...especially when its all scratched or worn

To be fair though, many of Fallout 3's expansions seem pretty unique from the original since in Point Lookout and The Pitt you get two whole new world maps with terrain and textures different than those from those in Capital Wasteland as well as new weapons, skins, etc.

I guess it depends on how much one liked the original, but I'll probably hold out until some reviews for Borderlands come out on metacritic before deciding. How much that game appeals to me in the end will be a major factor. Sometimes though I get bored with the same game no matter how great it is and just want to move on, no matter how much DLC is available.

If Borderlands seems "meh" to me though, I'll get Fo3 GoTY. There aren't really any other new games I care about atm anyways. At least none that I'd be willing to pay full price for.

So this boils down to you giving Borderlands a chance, and if it's not your cup of tea, getting FO3 instead.

Sounds almost... logical?

I've said this before, get Borderlands used at Gamestop, and if you don't like it, you can return it for full price within a week.

They've got that uh.. spaceship thing. That might be neat. SPACE SHIPS.

no, it's not. whatever you do, stay the **** away from mothership zeta. it's beyond awful.

only DLCs I can stand are Point Lookout (which is better than F3, but still somewhat bad), and The Pitt

I initially got it free too but I bought the collector's edition because I thought it was pretty ****in awesome. If you want to go ahead :)

Well, Fo3 GoTY won't work anyways if I don't have enough storage space on my memory card for all the DLCs. I only have the Xbox Arcade, (The model without the HDD) and I'm not planning on buying one anytime soon.

So...about those first three questions?

Fallout 3 would be a good game if it wasn't so horribly mis-managed. The bugs and glitches alone make the game unworthy of playing.

Anyone who played the PC version should know a patch broke the VATS in the game, where not only do you have to wait several seconds before the percentages show up, but the percentages do not account the perks you acquired. It took 3 months before HALF of this was even fixed. The percentage delay is still present, even though the percentage calculation is still broken. Till now this problem is still present and Beth has done shit to even consider fixing the problem.

Go use the money to buy another game instead. Fallout 3 is overrated. It's one of those games that look amazing the first few hours you play it, but as you play on you realize how horribly broken the game system is. You can literally max out all your skill points in this game, so not even the RPG element is done right. I'm surprised the game got such higher reviews, but that's probably because the reviewers only reviewed the early parts of the game.

I have several copies of Ace Combat games because I ****ing love Ace Combat.

His reason sucks.

Is the last DLC any good? The one that lets you play after the game's end?

last dlc was mothership zeta, broken steel is okay. i didn't like it's main quest. you have to kill tons of enclave soldiers. water missions were somewhat nice, but there aren't many.

1. Yeah, there should be no problem with that.

2. A little over 2GB of space is needed (I've never heard of a 36GB memory card before:eek:)

3. I couldn't tell you if all the bugs are fixed having only rented the original version before but the loading times are definitely A LOT faster

Haha yeah, I meant 36MB. It was late when I made this thread you know. :|

Anyways, I'd obviously would have to get an HDD to get the GoTY edition of Fo3, so I've decided to get Borderlands.
It will be cheaper than both Fo3 GoTY+HDD and I'll definitely get more for my money in the long run.

I don't think there's even such thing as a 2GB+ memory card for the 360. Is there?

Get Borderlands.
Great game.
I think I will. I've been getting hyped for that game anyways.

I hope I'm not disappointed however,
