40,000 Iranian Suicide Bombers Ready For Action

FoxNews said:

The source for this makes me dubious although they do claim to have received the word from "The Sunday Times" which must mean it's true.

If it is completely true then the answer is obvious, stop worrying about the whole nuclear thing and just eradicate every plastic explosive manufacturer we can. Crush these buggers at the source, who's with me?

I'm sorry about this disgraceful post, it's silly season behind my eyes. See http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1853412#post1853412.

To add a suitably dark twist to this: Do those guys expect 2.8 million virgins to be awaiting the entire brigade's arrival?

and the propaganda bullshit award goes to ..... perennial winner fox"news" <clapclapclapclap>

for some odd reason I cant find a source for 40,000 iranians ..surely they must have counted them?

...

"According to Iranian officials, 40,000 trained suicide bombers are ready for action."

What happened, Prisonplanet doesn't provide links? :O

yes that was the first site I searched, since it was the original source ..still says nothing besides "According to Iranian officials, 40,000 trained suicide bombers are ready for action." ...no doubt in answer to this from the same article:

sunday times said:
One of the leaked reports, dating from February this year, confirms that President George W Bush is preparing to strike Iran. “If the problem is not resolved in some way, he intends to act before leaving office because it would be ‘unfair’ to leave the task of destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities to a new president,” the document says.

so it's time to get the ball rolling so they'll start with this:

the sunday times said:
Alireza Jafarzadeh, a former spokesman for National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), an opposition group, said a secret, parallel military programme was under way. According to sources inside Iran, the Revolutionary Guards were constructing underground sites that could be activated if Iran’s known nuclear facilities were destroyed

which justifies the use of this

The administration of President George W. Bush is planning a massive bombing campaign against Iran, including use of bunker-buster nuclear bombs to destroy a key Iranian suspected nuclear weapons facility

this is exactly the same bullshit fed by iraqi opposition groups working for the US in the lead up to the iraq war; namely Ahmed Chalabi and Iyad Allawi. They havent a shred of credibility ..on both counts:

The American Prospect said:
But the Pentagon's critics are appalled that intelligence provided by the INC [Iraqi National Congress run Chalabi] might shape U.S. decisions about going to war against Baghdad. At the CIA and at the State Department, Ahmed Chalabi, the INC's leader, is viewed as the ineffectual head of a self-inflated and corrupt organization skilled at lobbying and public relations, but not much else. "The [INC's] intelligence isn't reliable at all," says Cannistraro. "Much of it is propaganda. Much of it is telling the Defense Department what they want to hear. And much of it is used to support Chalabi's own presidential ambitions. They make no distinction between intelligence and propaganda, using alleged informants and defectors who say what Chalabi wants them to say, [creating] cooked information that goes right into presidential and vice-presidential speeches.

I think I'll take the sunday times article with a grain of salt ...especially in light of this more rational article:

The New Scotsman said:
Some 200 Iranians have volunteered in the past few days to carry out "martyrdom missions" against U.S. and British interests if Iran is attacked over its nuclear programme, a hardline group said on Sunday.

but this is nothing new as US intellegence came to the same conclusion a week ago

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/01/AR2006040100981.html

I think if we knew there were 40k suicide bombers in Iran, our armed forces would be all over that country by now.

You're quite dense, there are no british and american targets to strike within Iran, the bombers would have to be outside the country; and that's just not possible so this whole article is bullshit, no surprise there. And your armed forces can barely keep control over a country that's one third the size and population of Iran.

How the hell do you train a suicide bomber, let alone 40,000?

"Ok watch closely... AND STOP TALKING AT THE BACK... I'm only going to show you this once" BOOM.

I can't find anything about this brigade and I have been searching all day. Can someone help me please. Apart from the two articles, one on the sunday times website, one on fox, there's nothing that I can find.

Is anyone else confused by the blatant hypocrisy of preventing another nation from achieving nuclear capabilities by bombing them with strategic bunker-busting NUCLEAR WARHEADS?

oh, right

ennui is hauled off by nameless men in black suits

"i swear, i know nothing of the biozeminades! NOTHING!"

I've been searching fo a while too, and can't find anything. I think I may have to take this one with a huge lump of salt as well.
