It is 400 GB. So pretty much a $1.07 for a each gb. You get what you pay. :P

Ooooh, nice. A tad overpriced, unless it's performance whips it's predessesor, though.

...I've heard of worse. How about 60 GB of storage -- for $65,000. Recently, even.

Of course, it's solid-state flash memory, but whatever. ;) :E

Edit: plus, there's this.

I don't think it is a bad deal if you actually needed all that space. A seek time of 8ms for a 400 gig hd seems pretty impressive to me. That is like being able to find a specific grain of sand on the beach instantly.

No.... It's like being able to find a specific grain of sand on a beach in 8 thousandhs of a second.

Slowpoke.

If it's not a 10,000 RPM drive, then SATA wont make all that much of a difference.

Sata will greatly improve airflow in your case.

I have 7 fans on my case and all intake fans have dust-filters on them.
I think I'm ok.
:naughty:

Plus if you know how to fold IDE cables and put them out of the way, you'll have fine air-flow.
But yeah, I dig the thin SATA cords too.

What case do you have?

I have a wave master and if you dont do your cables perfectly your temperature sky rockets. I think I will get a bigger case next time with better cooling potential. It took my forevor to fold my cables behind everything properly. But it was worth it. You can barely see a single cable. Sadly I accident cut the cord for my blue lights on the front of the case thinking it was a zip tie. ;(
