My grandad died a couple of weeks ago, was pretty sudden - a few weeks before it he was totally fine. Came as a shock to the family ;(

jup same here, the man was totaly fine, then 1 day he dident feel good anymore like 3 days after he dwas dead.

grand-grandpa? Oh the joys of being born in a young family... All my grandparents are dead. Every single one... And I aint got cousins or anything (distant american ones, but none that we know).

On the good side: I'm sure a beatifull baby was born in the exact same second he died.

My Grandmother died a few weeks ago also(July), and it was really rough on my family. Take time to sit and talk with your family about the good times you had with him, and funny things he did/his personality. It really helped to soften the blow to remember my grandmother and not try to put away all the feelings and memories.

Very sorry to hear about your Grandfather. My grandpop died last December very suddenly as well. He was putting up Christmas decorations and his heart just stopped. I guess that's what happens when you continue to smoke 2 packs a day even after having open heart surgury.

btw. my greatgrandmother will be 103 years old on 28 august...!!!

Thats a shame man, but as they say, the soul lives on, the body is just a shell, so all our loved ones are still alive somewhere, having fun and a good time, waitin for us to join them ^.^

Yeah that's such a comforting thought. I wish I could believe it though. I don't believe that memories and personality traits are attached to our conciousnesses.
