4x agp vs 8x agp

i have an old motherboard running a athlon 2400+. i want to buy a new graphics card because at the moment i only have a geforce 3 ti200 64mb. the problem is i only have a agp 4x slot not an 8x one. will this make a lot of difference if i get a 9600xt or a radeon 9800 pro? thanks

From what I gather it will make hardly any difference at all (like 1 fps, at most)

Certainly nothing to worry about.

Not really. The difference isn't really even noticable between 4x and 8x.
