5.1 Sound not working!!!

I just got a 5.1 for christmas and I have that integated Realtec audio chip in my computer, and there detection process detected each of my speakers. When I go into CS:S, the game only detects my center speaker. I did some researching on these forums and found out it is a known problem, but some people corrected it by updating some drivers. Does anyone know how to correct it with the Realtec audio chip? I dont think it is the AC-97 chip, but not sure.

Ok, it still cant be detected. I downloaded and installed that driver, and CS:S or HL-2 still cant detect it.

Well, you said that you saw some other guys saying that they fixed it.
Just track them down and ask how they did exactly.
